Fortunately, I’ve already done the hard part for you; I’ve made profound research on successful entrepreneurs, getting their ideas on how to tackle this issue we have at hand.
In this article, I did great, piecing together, eight applicable steps from top associates of Forbes Coaches Council.
These ideas are all you need to transform your life into something beyond natural and unconventional.
Below are the ideas. Stick to them and enjoy the long terms pleasures and satisfaction that comes with it, but ignore them and you’ll hold yourself accountable when reality finally unfolds, giving you the feedback you deserve.
1. Know Your Purpose And Plan Around It
What do you want in life? Why do you want it? Why is it all that important? These are question that narrows down your perception and gives you a clear insight of your goal.
After knowing your goal by answering those questions honestly, you are faced with another question: how and when do you plan to achieve it?
Make the plan that works best for you. A plan that can help you all the way to the point of accomplishment of that very goal with a workable deadline. In the course of your planning, you’ll need to also answer some vital questions like what kind of resources will be needed for this project?
Having made provisions to those questions, you’ve already taken the first step with regards to the journey ahead. Keep going.
2. Allow The Mind To Go Past The present Into The Future
Transport the mind to the future where you can envision a world you’d like to live in. Is it a personal or a professional goal? Just know what you want and where you want to go and the journey becomes much easier. And trust me, you’ll also be able to easily create a way to go there.
This is an excellent initial step that will help you in identifying fresh goals. This step is more like taking a step back in order to analyze and reflect on the path you’ve been taking so far, trying to spot those ideas and objectives that you’re yet to utilize.
Further steps include outlining your greatest strengths that can help you in the accomplishment of your goal, also followed by strategic actions to kick start the whole process.
4. Schedule Your Most Important Things
All important aspects of your life like your nonnegotiable(s) and other whatnot, that really takes your time should be scheduled into your calendar. Every other thing that mean less to you should be scheduled around them. Waste no time on this one.
5. Engage In A Quest For Clarity
Reality is merciless when it gives us feedback on our actions. Many people I’ve come to analyze do set out like warriors to conquer territories and mountains. But there is always a hitch; they lack the roadmap to where they are going, leaving them to the mercies of adverse detours.
As a person who is on a mission to achieve your goals, you have to get really clear on where you are at the moment and where you are heading to. At that point you’ll begin to get a clearer picture of your destination and also other possible obstacles you could possibly encounter.
Just a piece of note: the pinnacle of success is not about achieving your goal at the end rather, the kind of person you’ve become in the process of achieving your goal.
6. Look Inward
Another critical step that needs to be taken in order to achieve your goal is to look inward. Too many times, we are always caught up in how things tend to affect us and make the mistake of setting our goal on the basis of that.
I’d say that the best approach here is setting goals based on how they make you feel. Afterward set up something like a timeline or a scheme on how to tackle that goal.
Now you’ll begin to get the right feelings you need to keep you going, acting as a source of motivation.
7. Outline S.M.A.R.T Goals Only
One format of every goal you take into consideration must be the S.M.A.R.T format: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and finally Time-based.
The moment your goal exceeds this standard, you are getting unreasonably divorced from reality, you have to take a step back.
Only outline goals with the SMART format and afterward, craft out a well-defined strategy that will enhance and facilitate the achievement of those goals.
8. Approach Your Goal From The S.T.A.R Method
This is another form of approach I really love to use and it has proven beyond a reasonable doubt to be highly effective. Here is how it works:
Firstly, do you have a Strong feeling and connection with your goal? After that, you apply the Theater of the mind; creating a visual sense in the attainment of your goal.
Lastly, is your goal really Achievable and Realistic? Or is it those kinds of goal that lacks the presence of reality, making it a three-lifetime task, which you don’t have?
These are the eight steps to be taken if you want to define and work towards your goal. All you have to do is put them into practice with immediate effect; there is no more time. Start making this 2020 an exceptional phase in your career and life as a whole.
